Watford did the improbable and got three points at the Emirates Stadium.  Troy Deeney’s thirteenth-minute goal was well protected by Watford after Alex Iwobi managed a goal for Arsenal to cancel out Younes Kaboul’s opener for Watford.

With Liverpool and Chelsea facing each other in this round of the Premier League, being unable to pick up any points in this fixture was a disappointment for Arsenal.

Crystal Palace enhanced their hopes of moving out of the relegation zone by scoring two second half goals and leaving Bournemouth with the maximum points.

Sam Vokes 87’

Leicester City’s season got worse when Sam Vokes scored late in the match to give recently promoted Burnley a home victory over the defending champions.

Burnley moved into the top ten in the league standings, while Leicester stayed relegation threatened.

An early goal from both sides was what came from this fixture. A penalty saved Middlesbrough a point at home.

 

Sunderland                             0-0                   Tottenham Hotspur

Bottom table Sunderland denied Tottenham Hotspur a goal and a victory that would have closed the point gap at the top of the league table.

 

Swansea City                          2-1                   Southampton

It was a consecutive league victory for Swansea City after a home victory over Southampton.

In an entertaining top of the table clash, Liverpool had to come from a goal down to secure a point against Chelsea.

Georgino Wijnaldum’s second half header kept Chelsea’s lead at the top to a single digit.

Manchester City became the only team in the top six that was able to get three point in this round of the Premier League.

 

Like in recent fixtures against West Ham United, Manchester City finished with a comprehensive victory.

 

Manchester United                          0-0                Hull City

Edlin Jakupovic’s goalkeeping heroics helped Hull City deny Manchester United a victory at Old Trafford.

Hull City had a few chances to steal the win.

 

 

Stoke City                                       1-1                 Everton

Stoke City and Everton played out a 1-1 draw.
