It was men against boys when Chelsea got their hands on Arsenal.

Despite remaining at the bottom of the league table, Sunderland got an away victory at Crystal Palace to move equal on points with them.

Romelu Lukaku scored four goals in this match to climb up to the top of the ‘Golden Boot’ list in the Premier League with 16 goals.

Hull City                                    2-0                    Liverpool

Alfred N’Diaye 44’

Baye Oumar Niasse 84’

Liverpool has now gone five league matches without a victory.  Liverpool has managed a victory in their last ten matches in all competitions.

It was supposed to be a tough stretch of matches for struggling Hull City in the Premier League.

After holding Manchester United to a goalless draw and getting an away point, Hull City took all three points at home against Liverpool.

Hull goes to Arsenal in their next fixture. Gunners beware.

Southampton                             1-3                  West Ham United

Manolo Gabbiadini 12’                                       Andy Carroll 14’

                                                                                Pedro Mba Obiang 44’

                                                                               Mark Noble 52’

West Ham United came from a goal down to win away at Southampton.

A home victory for Southampton would have been enough to leap over West Ham in the league standings.

Watford                                      2-1                 Burnley

Troy Deeney 10’                                              Ashley Barnes 78’(pen)

Watford jumped over Burnley in the league standings after scoring two goals in the first half to get a home victory.

West Bromwich Albion                  1-0                Stoke City

James Morrison 6’

An early goal was enough for West Bromwich Albion to end Stoke City four undefeated league run.

Tottenham Hotspur                        1-0                   Middlesbrough

Harry Kane 58’(pen)

Harry Kane scored an important penalty to give Tottenham Hotspur a victory over recently promoted Middlesbrough. The victory made Tottenham the closest rival to Chelsea at the top of the table.

Manchester City                             2-1                    Swansea City

Gabriel Jesus 11’ 90’+3’                                           Gylfi Sigurdsson 81’

Manchester City’s new boy Gabriel Jesus was the star man in this fixture. Jesus had to score late to restore the early goal lead he gave to Manchester City.

The victory sent Manchester City to third place, ten points away from the top of the standings.  Swansea City is left sitting just a point away from the relegation zone.

Leicester City                                 0-3                   Manchester United

                                                                                   Henrik Mkhitaryan 42’

                                                                                   Zlatan Ibrahimovic 44’

                                                                                   Juan Mata 49’

Manchester United pulled a double over the defending champions Leicester City after scoring three goals in the space of seven minutes.

Just like in their first fixture, Manchester United defeated Leicester by a three-goal margin to pull a league double over the defending champions.

It was difficult to tell if Manchester United was almost perfect in this fixture or Leicester City is just that bad this season.
