Michael Dawson 72’                                   Gareth McAuley 34’

Hull City stopped West Bromwich Albion from getting a third consecutive league victory. Michael Dawson’s second-half goal saved Hull City from a home defeat.

The result does not do much for a Hull City team that is residing in the relegation zone at the moment.

Riyad Mahrez 34’(pen)                               Alvaro Negredo 13’ 72’

It took a while, but Liverpool got the results they needed against Sunderland.  After dropping points at Southampton, Liverpool could not afford to let any more points slip if they want to remain in the conversation as title contenders for the coming week.

Where was the defense?

A nine-goal thriller against Crystal Palace gave Swansea City their second victory in the 2016/17 Premier League season and their first under their new manager Bob Bradley.

Swansea looked to have blown a perfect opportunity when they allowed Crystal Palace to take the lead after being two goals down by the 68th minute.

But Crystal Palace out did Swansea when they ended up losing the match after going into additional time with a goal lead.

Swansea City’s second-half substitute Fernando Llorente scored a brace in additional time to give the home side a memorable victory.

It was an important win that was done in a climactic fashion.

Manchester United             1-1              West Ham

Zlatan Ibrahimovic 21’                           Diafra Sakho 2’

It was four straight home league matches without a victory for Manchester United.

An early goal for West Ham was enough for the away team to leave with a point.  At this point, it is difficult to tell if getting a point away at Manchester United is something of which you can be proud.

Southampton                       1-0               Everton

Charlie Austin 1’

Everton’s manager Ronald Koeman returned to his old club of Southampton. His former players were so happy to see him that they scored a goal under a minute to remind him of what he left behind. Charlie Austin’s early goal for Southampton was the only goal in this fixture.

It was a victory that sent Southampton above Everton in points on the league table.
