AFC Bournemouth                  0-0             Tottenham Hotspur

AFC Bournemouth denied Tottenham Hotspur the chance to climb to the top of the league table by holding them to a goalless draw.

Arsenal                      0-0                Middlesbrough

With their dominance in the match statistics, Arsenal couldn’t find a win against a newly promoted Middlesbrough side that had only managed a win in eight league matches.

The draw keeps Arsenal undefeated in 8 league matches, but the two dropped points might be costly.

Burnley                        2-1            Everton

Sam Vokes 39’                              Yannick Bolasie 58’

Scott Arfield 90’+1’

Everton is winless in four consecutive matches.

In a season where Everton is looking like a contender for a European place finish, Burnley was able to steal all three points with a late goal in additional time.

Was it a deserved victory for Burnley? No! But that is how football works sometimes.

Hull City                         0-2                Stoke City

                                                               Xherdan Shaqiri 26’ 50’

They might still be relegation threatened, but Xherdan Shaqiri scored a goal in each half to  give Stoke City a consecutive win.

It was another loss for Hull City as they failed to bounce back from the thrashing they received from AFC Bournemouth. Hull City have now lost four consecutive league matches.

Leicester City                          3-1                Crystal Palace

Ahmed Musa 42’                                          Yohan Cabaye 85’

Shinji Okazaki 64’

Christian Fuchs 80’

After three winless matches in the Premier League, Leicester City moved level on points with Crystal Palace after a home victory over Crystal Palace.

Swansea City                     0-0               Watford

Swansea put a stop to their losing streak and got a goalless draw against Watford. This might be a good sign for Swansea’s new manager.

West Ham                                1-0                Sunderland

Winston Reid 90’+4’

Sunderland remains the only side in the 2016/17 Premier League table that is yet to secure a win.

Winston Reid’s late goal in additional time gave Sunderland another consecutive loss in the league.

Liverpool                                   2-1                   West Bromwich Albion

Sadio Mane 21’                                                 Gareth McAuley 82’

Philippe Coutinho 36’

Two first half goals gave Liverpool a win to take their undefeated streak to seven matches.

Manchester City               1-1      Southampton

Kelechi Iheanacho 55′                 Nathan Redmond 27′

Manchester City dropped more points after their third winless match in the league.

Southampton held Manchester City to a ‘1-1’ draw at the Etihad to get a five-match undefeated streak while making the top of the league table a lot more interesting.

Chelsea                       4-0        Manchester United

Pedro Rodriguez 1’

Gary Cahill 21’

Eden Hazard 62’

N’Golo Kante 70’

Chelsea welcomed Jose Mourinho with a bang.

We expected a closer match than we got. On Jose Mourinho’s return to Stamford Bridge with as a rival manager, he suffered his worst defeat as a Manchester United manager.

A dominating performance from Chelsea in front of their home supporters saw the team score two goals in each half.

It went bad for Manchester United within the first minute of the match. Pedro Rodriguez scored in under a minute to give Chelsea a lead to protect. The ‘4-0’ victory was the third consecutive victory for Chelsea.

Manchester United would need to do some soul searching after this defeat.
