Trent Alexander-Arnold scored the equalizing goal in the 80th minute, earning Liverpool a point against Manchester United. A point remain between the two in the league.
Burnley led by a goal until the 86th minute but ended up losing 2-1 to West Ham, who came from behind in the final added time.
Jacob Brown entered the match in the 79th minute and scored the goal to restore Luton Town’s lead in the 83rd minute, securing their second league victory with a 2-1 win over Crystal Palace.
Two goals in quick succession at the hour mark saw Newcastle open a 2-goal lead against Chelsea after ending the first half in a 1-all draw. Chelsea was reduced to 10 men after Reece James picked up his second yellow card in the 73rd minute. Newcastle United went 3-goals up 10 minutes later through a goal from Anthony Gordon. Pre-season ambitions and expectations were high for both Newcastle United and Chelsea, and Newcastle lived up to the billing on the night.
Brighton won their first league game in seven with a 3-2 away win over Nottingham Forest.
Kai Havertz’s late goal in the 89th minute secured maximum points for Arsenal, winning 1-0 away against Brentford. The result was exactly what Arsenal need to take advantage of the results from the ‘Manchester City vs. Liverpool’ fixture.
Despite taking the lead and having better chances, Tottenham suffered their third straight league defeat after going unbeaten in the opening 10. Tottenham were beaten 2-1 at home by Aston Villa.
Everton didn’t get the start they wanted in the process of overcoming their 10-point deduction in the Premier League, as Manchester United helped themselves to another win. Alejandro Garnacho opened the scoring in the third minute with an overhead kick goal, ultimately securing Manchester United a 3-0 win against Everton.
