A deserving ‘1-1’ draw for the Swiss
Just when Brazil was beginning to get complacent with a goal lead in their opening match of the 2018 World Cup, Steven Zuber leveled the score for Switzerland by converted a corner kick to a goal with a powerful header.

Group F – Germany vs Mexico
Date – June 17, 2018
Venue – Luzhniki Stadium
Goal scorers – Mexico) – Hirving Lozano 35’

Rafa Marquez played in his 5th FIFA World Cup while his Mexican team shocked the world with a ‘1-0’ victory over Germany.

The World Cup title defense started out on a bad note for the Germans, as they became the first European side to lose a match in the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

Hirving Lozano was tipped by many to be one of the breakout stars of the tournament – And he did just that by scoring the goal that gave Mexico their first victory against Germany since 1986.

Despite failing to take advantage of the opportunities, Mexico’s ‘direct attacking’ game plan handed them numerous opportunities in counter-attacks.
