Mexico Clinches 9th CONCACAF Gold Cup Title with Late Goal against Panama

Mexico 1-0 Panama

Santiago Gimenez 88′

Mexico’s 11th Gold Cup final ended with their 9th title, as Santiago Gimenez sealed the victory in the 88th minute. It was Panama’s 3rd Gold Cup final, but unfortunately, it concluded in defeat. Santiago Gimenez came off the bench in the 85th minute and netted the sole goal of the match, securing Mexico’s 9th Gold Cup title.

Since Canada’s triumph in 2000, only the United States and Mexico have claimed the CONCACAF Gold Cup, and this pattern continues.

Gold Cup Titles:

Mexico – 9 titles
United States – 7 titles
Canada – 1 title
