You would have a strong argument if you felt that Barcelona was lucky to have a point at the end of this fixture. In a kinder world of football, Carlos Vela would have been on the scoresheet for Real Sociedad.
It was a missed opportunity for Barcelona to tighten the gap between themselves and Real Madrid in the league standings ahead of the El Clasico.
