Ronaldo scored a brace to save Real Madrid from getting a humiliating home defeat against Las Palmas.

A hattrick from Cristiano Ronaldo would have ensured a Real Madrid victory, after Gareth Bale lost his head and received a red card that had his team chasing the match for the majority of the second half.

The points dropped by Real Madrid has open up the title race for the trailing two side; Barcelona and Sevilla.

Antoine Griezmann struck the ball wonderfully into the net to save Atletico Madrid from suffering a consecutive league defeat and dropping a point more than they already have.

It was a sour end to the match as Atletico’s Fernando Torres suffered a horrific head injury and had to be taken away by the ambulance. Reports from the club and Torres’s Instagram page has assured as that he is going to be ok.
