Liverpool can’t afford a consecutive league defeat and allow Arsenal to open up a four-point lead in the league standings while having a match in hand. And with Manchester United on their heels, any points dropped by Liverpool could allow Manchester United to leap over them in the league standings.
2017 has not been the best year for Liverpool. If Arsenal wants revenge for their home defeat to Liverpool in the opening match of the season, this might just be the perfect time to get it. However, Liverpool seems not to have a problem against the top teams.
