It’s all on the line – EFL Championship

A lot is on the line for the final day of the season in the EFL Championship. We know Brighton & Hove Albion and Newcastle United are promoted to the Premier League, and unless Leeds can make up at least 14 goals in their match against Wigan, Fulham will join Huddersfield Town, Sheffield Wednesday, Reading in the promotion play-off battle.

Brighton & Hove Albion and Newcastle United will need a victory in their final match of the season.

Brighton & Hove Albion failed to use home advantage to secure the league title when they were defeated by Bristol City.

A victory against Aston Villa and/or a Newcastle defeat to Barnsley will guarantee Brighton & Hove Albion the league title.

For Newcastle to steal the title from Brighton & Hove Albion, they will need to defeat Barnsley and hope that Brighton & Hove Albion does not secure the maximum points against Aston Villa.

On the other end of the league table is the relegation battle that involves Nottingham Forest, Blackburn Rovers, and Birmingham City.
