Inter Milan won the league with four games to spare. And as things stand, Inter Milan is the only team in Serie A qualified for next season’s UEFA Champions League.
Dropping points against Sassuolo cost Atalanta their 2 point lead they had in second place.
Juventus and AC Milan picked up three points from a win in their respective matches to join Atalanta on 69 points.
Napoli dropped points and fell from 3rd to 5th on 67 points.
Lazio with their game will equal Napoli on points accumulated if they are to make a win out of their outstanding match.
Roma is 9 points off their city rival (Lazio).

Parma joins Crotone as the 2/3 of the relegated teams.
With 12 points left, all the teams in the bottom half of the league table are at risk of occupying the third relegation spot.

LEADING GOALSCORERS
Cristiano Ronaldo (Juventus) – 27 goals
Romelu Lukaku (Inter Milan) – 21 goals
Luis Muriel (Atalanta) – 19 goals
Simy Nwankwo (Crotone) – 19 goals
Ciro Immobile (Lazio) – 19 goals

The points were shared between Spezia and Hellas Verona in the opening game of the Serie A round.
Christian Eriksen’s goal sunk Crotone and placed Inter on the brink of a league title for the first time in 11 years. A 2-0 win for Inter Milan relegated Crotone and virtually made Inter Milan the new champions.

AC Milan avoided a third straight league defeat with a 2-0 win against Benevento. Benevento’s only win from their last 18 league games has been from a 1-0 win against Juventus in Turin.

A late charge from Genoa brought a competitive end to their fixture against Lazio, but Lazio sealed the three points after getting the bigger position of the 7 goals scored in the game.
Rodrigo Palacio’s goals save Bologna from defeat at home to Fiorentina. It ended a 3-3 draw with all of Bologna’s goals coming from Rodrigo Palacios.
Nahitan Nandez scored deep into the additional minutes to get Cagliari a draw that denied Napoli the chance to finish the round in the ‘top 4’.
A numerically disadvantaged Atalanta managed to get an away draw against Sassuolo. A draw for Atalanta handed Inter Milan the league title.
Cristiano Ronaldo’s goals got Juventus from the losing end of the score to a win against Udinese.
A 2-0 defeat to Sampdoria meant that Roma is without a win in the last 6 matches played.

Parma was relegated after losing 1-0 in Turin against Torino. Mergim Vojvoda scored the only goal of the game to hand Torino their first league win in three matches.
