German BUNDESLIGA at the third round:

Half of the league table remains without a win after the opening two rounds of the Bundesliga season.

Bayer Leverkusen and Bochum remain the two sides with a 100% losing record.
This might be the round where Leverkusen and Bochum are yet to get point(s) on the 2022/23 German Bundesliga league table.
Leverkusen will host Hoffenheim, while Bochum will host Bayern Munich.

Bayern Munich and Dortmund are part of the 6 teams that remain unbeaten in the league after two rounds, but they are the only two with a 100% winning record in the 2022/23 German Bundesliga season. The objective for both teams will be to extend the good run. Dortmund will be home against a newly-promoted Werder Bremen side that is looking for their first league win. As stated above, Bayern Munich will have a Bochum side that is without point(s) accumulated.

Newly-promoted Schalke will also be at Wolfsburg in search of their first win of the season.

French LIGUE 1 at the third round:

Toulouse, Clermont Foot, and PSG were the winners of the last round.

Lyon and Lorient have a game in hand but of the 18 clubs without an outstanding match, Paris St. Germain is the only one with a perfect record in the league after two rounds. Paris St. Germain will go to Lille in the next round. The two clubs are the most recent champions of the French Ligue 1; separated by just two points in the current standings.

Lyon and Lorient have a game in hand but they have a 100% win record from the 1 game they’ve played. Lyon will host a Troyes side that is yet to accumulate a point in the league.
Troyes and Reims are the clubs without points on the league table. Reims will be at Strasbourg in the next round.

Newly-promoted Toulouse will want to say unbeaten and possibly add to their win when they host Lorient. The other two newly-promoted teams will be playing away from home in search of their first victory of the season. Ajaccio will be at Rennes, while Auxerre will be at Montpellier.

Manchester United, West Ham, and Everton will be hoping that the third round of the new season will end with them putting their first point(s) on the league table.
All three clubs will have the backing of home supporters. Everton plays as host against newly-promoted Nottingham Forest, West Ham will host Brighton, and Manchester United will be welcoming Liverpool for the North West derby.

August 22: Manchester United vs Liverpool
An English football classic. The most successful clubs in England will face off at Old Trafford for the early points to help the direction of their English Premier League season. Both teams are in search of their first win of the season after not having the start expected of them with the opponent they’ve faced in the opening two rounds of the English Premier League. Manchester United has suffered defeats at home to Brighton and away to Brentford. Liverpool has dropped points by coming from behind to get a draw away against Fulham and at home against Crystal Palace.

Arsenal and Manchester City are part of the 8 teams that are unbeaten in the league but they are the only two with a 100% winning record. Manchester City moved to the top of the pile because of the goal difference. The objective for their next game will be to extend their record into the fourth round. Both clubs will be away from home; Arsenal at Bournemouth, Manchester City at Newcastle.

Bournemouth and Nottingham Forest have both gotten their first win of the 2022/23 English Premier League season. This leaves Fulham as the only newly-promoted club without a win. Fulham will host an inspired Brentford side for their next fixture.
Despite being without a win, Fulham is the only newly-promoted side that is unbeaten.

Chelsea and Tottenham will be looking for three points after their heated London derby clash ended in a draw. Chelsea will look for the win at Leeds while Tottenham will look to take it from Wolves.

Atletico Madrid will play their first home game of the season with Villarreal. Both clubs are coming to the tie on the back of a 3-0 win in their opening match of the season.

The Italian SERIE A at the second round:

There were no upsets in the results from the opening round of the 2022/23 Italian Serie A season. None of the matches ended in a draw. 10 winners made 10 losers.
All the pre-season title favorites (AC Milan, Inter Milan, Napoli, and Juventus) got a win to start their season.

The second round of the new season allows the pre-tournament title favorites another opportunity to add another win to their collection.

Bergamo is always a tricky place to go for any team, and AC Milan will go there for points to help their ambitions to defend the Scudetto. AC Milan kicked their season off with a 4-2 home win against Udinese, while Atalanta got a 2-0 win away against Sampdoria to start their season.
Inter Milan and Roma pulled away with narrow wins from the opening round but they will have home advantage in this round to chase a bigger margin of victory. Juventus will look for their second win of the new season away from home against a Sampdoria side that is coming from a 2-0 defeat. Napoli is visited by newly-promoted Monza.
