February 11, 2017

Bayer Leverkusen                          3-0                         Eintracht Frankfurt

Javier Hernandez 8’ 63’

Kevin Volland 78’

Javier Hernandez was back to scoring and Bayer Leverkusen was back to winning.

Eintracht Frankfurt’s three-match winning streak was ended at Leverkusen. On the back of two league defeats, Bayer Leverkusen got an important home victory to hopefully steer the team in the right direction.

Ingolstadt                                      0-2                         Bayern Munich

                                                                                         Arturo Vidal 90’

                                                                                         Arjen Robben 90’+2’

Bayern Munich left it late and avoided an upset at Ingolstadt.

Two goals in the dying minutes of the match allowed the league leaders to take all three points from a struggling Ingolstadt side.

A point for Ingolstadt in this fixture would have been considered an upset.

Werder Bremen                               0-1                       Borussia Monchengladbach

                                                                                           Thorgan Hazard 12’

An early goal from Thorgan Hazard was enough for Borussia Monchengladbach to get an away victory over Werder Bremen and opened a 10-point gap between the two in the league standings.

Darmstadt                                       2-1                      Borussia Dortmund

Terence Boyd 21’                                                       Raphael Guerreiro 44’

Antonio-Mirko Colak 67’

Borussia Dortmund inconsistent season continues after suffering a defeat at Darmstadt. With Eintracht Frankfurt losing in their fixture against Bayer Leverkusen, a victory would have likely sent Dortmund into the top three.

RB Leipzig                                       0-3                      Hamburger SV

                                                                                Kyriakos Papadopoulos 18’

                                                                                Walace 24’

                                                                                Aaron Hunt 90’+3’

RB Leipzig suffered their first consecutive league defeat in the 2016-17 Bundesliga season.

Away from home, relegation-threatened Hamburger SV was able to hand title contender RB Leipzig a defeat.

The result allowed Hamburger SV to climb out of the relegation zone and allowed Bayern Munich to open a bigger gap at the top of the league standings.

Schalke 04                                       2-0                      Hertha Berlin

Guido Burgstaller 41

Leon Goretzka 62’

A ‘2-0’ home victory allowed Schalke 04 to get an exact revenge against Hertha Berlin.
