Both Hannover 96 and Hoffenheim suffered the seventh round of the German Bundesliga. This leaves Borussia Dortmund as the only side that is yet to be defeated in the 2017/18 German Bundesliga season.Borussia Dortmund got the best percentage of the goals scored in the first half to get the maximum points that keep them at the top of the league table. Hoffenheim suffered their first defeat of the season in a 5-goal thriller against Freiburg, while a late penalty striped a point away from Hannover 96 against Borussia Monchengladbach.
In a consecutive Bundesliga match, Bayern Munich has blown a two-goal advantage to settle for a point. Four points dropped by the league title holders to increase the difficulty of their title defense season.
The only winning team in the top four teams in the league table was Borussia Dortmund. In the final match of the round, an away victory over FC Koln gave way for RB Leipzig to take full advantage of that outcome.
