Both sides had their fair set of missed chances.
The game should’ve produced more goals as both Freiburg and Bochum had their fair share of great chances to get points. In the end, Vincenzo Grifo ended up scoring from the many rebounds of his missed penalty to get Freiburg a 1-0 win at home against Bochum.

It was a narrow ‘1-0’ victory in Berlin for Dortmund. Hertha Berlin remains without a win while Borussia Dortmund bounced back from their shock defeat to Werder Bremen in the last round.

Mainz suffered their first defeat of the season against a Leverkusen side that was looking for their first win of the season after they started their season with three straight defeats.
Three goals in the first half were enough to get Leverkusen the 3-0 win and the three points.

Christopher Nkunku scored both goals for RB Leipzig to pick up their first win of the season through a ‘2-0’ win against Wolfburg.

An unbeaten Union Berlin added three points to their tally from a 6-1 away victory against newly promoted Schalke. A start like this will make things a lot more difficult for a Schalke club that should feel entitled to be in the top flight of the German football league.

Yann Sommer’s goalkeeping heroics got Monchengladbach a point in Munich to put an end to Bayern Munich’s 100% winning start. Both Bayern Munich and Monchengladbach remain unbeaten but for Monchengladbach, this result should feel like a win.

Stuttgart held on to a goalless draw for a point in Cologne despite finishing the game with 9 players after two of their players picked up red cards in the second half.

4-3 win against Werder Bremen handed Frankfurt their first league victory of the season.
Werder Bremen had come from an early goal down in the 2nd minute to lead by a goal in the 17th minute but Frankfurt recovered to take a 3-2 lead into the halftime break, before adding their fourth goal just about 3 minutes from the second-half restart.
A penalty in the final added minutes allowed Werder Bremen to pull a goal away from an equalizer but unlike they did against Dortmund in the previous round, there was no comeback.
