Montpellier                              3-1                 Marseille

Ryad Boudebouz 4’ 36’                     Florian Thauvin 52’

Steve Mounie 57’

Ryad Boudebouz scored a brace for Montpellier to come level on points with Marseille in the league standings.

On the balance of play, it wasn’t a fair scoreline for Marseille.

Monaco                                     6-0              Nancy

Radamel Falcao 25’ 30’(pen)

Kylian Mbappe 66’

Guido Carrillo 87’ 90’+2’

Fabinho 90’(pen)

Just  a team keeps Monaco from being the top of the Ligue 1 standings, and just a team keeps Nancy from being at the bottom of the league standings.

Monaco scored four second-half goals to   defeat newly promoted Nancy. It was a Monaco victory that many would have predicted, but the scoreline was a bit of a shock from the balance of play.

Bordeaux                               2-1                  Lorient

Francoise Kamano 28’                               Jerome Prior 62’(o.g)

Diego Rolan 73’

It was another defeat for Lorient, as they sit at the bottom of the league table with 7 pts.

Lyon                                     2-1                   SC Bastia

Alexandre Lacazette 37’(pen)                 Enzo Crivelli 90’+3’

Pierre Bengtsson 86’(og)

A bad day for Bastia gave Lyon a consecutive league victory.

It was a really bad day for SC Bastia in their away match at Lyon.  Bastia finished the match with two players sent off  in a ‘2-1’ defeat,  with the goals coming from a penalty and an own goal.

Dijon                                   3-3                        Guingamp

Cedric Varrault 6’                                          Marcus Regis Coco 32’

Lois Diony 26’                                               Alexandre Mendy 79’

Julio Tavares 44’                                           Nill De Pauw 90’+4’

Dijon blew it!

Being down two goals at the half, Guingamp scored two goals in the second half to leave Dijon with  a point. A point that meant Guingamp had gone four consecutive matches undefeated.   Nill De Pauw late goal in injury time finished the comeback for Guingamp.

Angers                                              1-0                         Lille

Famara Diedhiou 54’

A goal separated Angers from Lille.

Considering how the two teams have performed this season, this was not a shocking result.

Nantes                                            1-1                      Toulouse

Mariusz Stepinski 90’+1’                                        Martin Braithwaite 36’(pen)

Nantes avoided a home defeat when Mariusz Stepinski scored a late equalizer to finish the match as a draw.

Caen                                           1-0                        Nice

Ivan Sanini 42’

Caen did what no other team has done in the 2016/17 Ligue 1 season by handing OGC Nice their first league defeat after 11 matches.

The defeat does not knock OGC Nice from the top of the pile in Ligue 1, but it brings their closest rivals just a win away.

Metz                                             0-0                       Saint-Etienne

A 10-man Saint-Etienne  held on to get a point away  at Metz.

Paris Saint-Germain                    4-0                        Rennes

Gelson Fernandes 31’(og)

Edinson Cavani 42’

Adrien Rabiot 67’

Marco Verratti 79’

Both teams came into the match in good form, but the home team had the best night.

Paris Saint-Germain got a home win over Rennes and moved closer to defending their league title.
