When a team competing for the title meets the team fighting to survive a relegation battle, results usually goes in one direction.

When you allow Monaco the opportunity to score, they make sure they do so. Three second half goals from Monaco gave them an away win over bottom table Lorient.

The win for Monaco tied things up at the top against  OGC Nice.(NIce has a game in hand)

Lille struggles in the 2016/17 Ligue 1 continues after an early goal for Lyon was enough for Lyon to leave Lille with all three points.  

It was the third consecutive league defeat for Lille.

Paris Saint-Germain did what was expected and got a home victory against Nantes. If PSG is going to defend their title, this is probably the time for the team to avoid making any mistakes.

Tobias Badila Kouendolo 78’

Both of these newly promoted sides are still flirting with relegation.

After Lois Diony missed a penalty that could have given Dijon the lead, Tobias Kouendolo punished Dijon when he scored about 10 minutes later to give Nancy a home win. It was a bounce back Nancy needed after their humiliating defeat to Monaco

Montpellier had to cancel out an early ‘own goal’ to leave Bastia with a point.

It was four consecutive winless league matches for Toulouse after newly-promoted Metz left Toulouse with a surprise win. A goal in each half gave Metz all three points.

A late goal from Nicolas Pepe gave Angers an away points against Rennes. A win would have been ideal for both teams, but they had to settle for a draw.

Jimmy Braind scored a late goal deep into additional time to save Guingamp from suffering a home defeat against Bordeaux.

Jeremy Menez missed an opportunity to score a security goal for Bordeaux when he missed a 78th-minute penalty.

Rolando 81’

A late goal from Rolando gave Marseille a win home win over Caen.

Saint-Etienne                   0-1                OGC Nice

OGC Nice got back to their winning ways and moved back to the top of the table with an away victory over Saint-Etienne.

Valentin Eysseric 63rd-minute goal was enough to keep Nice fans dreaming of the possibility of a title in their near future.
