Saint-Etienne                                          0-0                         Nancy

Saint-Etienne couldn’t find a way to get a home victory against newly promoted Nancy as the match ended in a goalless draw.

Bordeaux                                              0-0                           OGC Nice

A goalless draw away at Bordeaux did not allow OGC Nice to stretch their lead at the top of the standings by the maximum points.

Two late red cards for Nice means they would have Mario Balotelli and Younes Belhanda suspended when Ligue 1 resumes after the winter break.

Lille                                                       1-1                         Rennes

Eder 89’                                                                              Paul-Georges Ntep 22’

Rennes was close to opening a 10-point gap between the two sides until Eder made up for his early penalty miss by scoring late to salvage a point at home for Lille.

Lyon                                                      2-0                             Angers

Alexandre Lacazette 9’

Nabil Fekir 84’

A third consecutive league victory for Lyon has them comfortably in third place on the league table. It was also a third consecutive league defeat for Angers.

Paris Saint-Germain                             5-0                              Lorient

Thomas Meunier 25’

Zargo Toure 44’(o.g)

Thiago Silva 50’

Edinson Cavani 63’(pen)

Lucas Moura 70’

It was an expected result.

After dropping important points in recent matches, Paris Saint-Germain tried to make it up with a comprehensive win over bottom table Lorient.

Bastia                                                1-2                           Marseille

Alexander Djiku 83’                                                         Bafetimbi Gomis 8’

                                                                                           Clinton Njie 90’+1’

After Marseille lost and an early lead late in the match, Clinton Njie came off the bench and scored to give Marseille all three point away at Bastia.  Marseille has gone five league matches without a defeat and have won their recent four. This steady progress leaves Marseille in the 6th place and hopeful for a top four finish.

Dijon                                                    2-0                         Toulouse

Julio Tavares 49’(pen)

Pier Lees-Melou 52’

Dijon finally got a league victory after eight matches without.  Two goals in the second half allowed a home victory for Dijon over Toulouse

Despite the victory, newly-promoted Dijon hovers around the relegation zone.

Monaco                                                2-1                        Caen

Radamel Falcao 48’(pen)

Tiemoue Bakayoko 76’

Monaco closed in on OGC Nice at the top of the table with a victory over Caen.  From their position on the league table, this was an impressive performance from Caen.

Nantes                                                1-0                          Montpellier

Lima 12’(pen)

An early penalty helped Nantes to victory over Montpellier. A consecutive victory for Nantes.

Metz                                                       2-2                         Guingamp

Opa Nguette 13’                                                                 Jimmy Braind 49’ 74’

Gauthier Hien 90’+3’

A late goal allowed Metz to salvage a point and deny Guingamp a victory that would’ve helped in their ambitions of putting pressure on the top part of the league table.
