Lille                      0-1        Paris Saint-Germain

                                           Edinson Cavani 65’

If the plan is to defend their title, Paris Saint-Germain knew they couldn’t afford to drop any more points after their goalless draw against Marseille.

A second half strike from Edinson Cavani gave Paris Saint-Germain a deserved victory over Lille.

Toulouse                1-2              Lyon

Christopher Jullien 26’            Alexandre Lacazette 15’(pen) 52’

Despite finishing the match with fewer men, Alexandre Lacazette scored a brace to give Lyon the maximum points from their away match against Toulouse.

Nancy                  2-0              Caen

Christophe Mandanne 6’

Alou Diarra 12’

A match between two relegation zoned teams saw newly promoted Nancy grab a win over Caen with two early goals in the first half.

Saint-Etienne              1-1          Monaco

Loic Perrin 18’                             Kamil Glik 5’

Saint-Etienne denied Monaco a chance to move away from PSG and get closer to the OGC Nice at the top of the league standings.

Lorient                             2-2             Montpellier

Zargo Toure 16’                                Souleymane Camara 45’+2’

Sylvain Marveaux 24’                     Morgan Sanson 69’

Lorient couldn’t hold on to a lead at home. A point was a fitting for what the teams displayed.

SC Bastia                          0-0             Dijon

Despite having more attempts on goal, SC Bastia couldn’t find a home win over newly-promoted Dijon.

Guingamp                      1-0           Angers

Nill de Pauw 78’

It was three consecutive league victories for Guingamp after a goal victory over Angers.

OGC Nice             4-1         Nantes

Wylan Cyprien 9’ 65’        Emiliano Sala 47’

Mario Balotelli 27’

Alassane Plea 60’

We couldn’t predict this start for OGC Nice, but they remain undefeated after 11 league matches (9 wins and 2 draws).

Nice stretched their lead to six points on top of the league standings with a convincing performance in front of their home crowd.

Rennes                     1-0            FC Metz

Wesley Said 56’

An evenly contested fixture saw Rennes manage to come victorious over newly promoted FC Metz.

Marseille              0-0              Bordeaux

Both teams might not be losing but they are sure not winning. Marseille and Bordeaux played out a goalless draw.

It was a consecutive goalless draw in the league for Marseille, and a third consecutive draw for Bordeaux.
