Lyon was probably the toughest test Paris Saint-Germain has faced so far into the season, but at six rounds in Paris Saint-Germain has managed to put together six straight victories in the French Ligue 1. Two own goals by Lyon gave PSG a home victory over Lyon to keep them on top of the league standings. The result of this fixture eliminated Lyon from the list of undefeated teams remaining in the 2017/18 French Ligue 1.

Bordeaux got an away victory over Toulouse to remain as the other undefeated side remaining in the season. Monaco bounced back from defeat in the previous league fixture with a victory at home over newly-promoted Strasbourg. Mario Balotelli got a goal for Nice to get a consecutive league victory, while all the newly-promoted teams suffered defeat in their respective matches.
