Cup Football Finals: {Germany} Freiburg and RB Leipzig will be going for their first DFB Pokal title. {Italy} Inter Milan and Juventus go for the Coppa Italia. {Portugal} Porto on track to title 19 of the Taca de Portgual.

RB Leipzig 2-1 Union Berlin

Freiburg will play their first-ever German Cup final after knocking out Hamburger SV (the only remaining past winner that was left in the competition).

Emil Forsberg scored in the second minute of the final additional time to complete the comeback for RB Leipzig to come from a goal down in the first half to getting two goals in the second half and booking a meeting with Freiburg for the 2022 DFB Pokal final.

Unlike Freiburg, this will be the third time in the last four years that RB Leipzig will be playing in the DFB Pokal final. (2019, 2021, and now 2022) Their first final ended in a 3-0 defeat against Bayern Munich. The second final ended in a 4-1 defeat to Borussia Dortmund.

Coppa Italia semifinal {second leg}.

With the Serie A title drifting away from them, Juventus would’ve had very little to look forward to if it was for the Coppa Italia. There is still a shot at silverware.

When AC Milan and Fiorentina won their last Coppa Italia title, the format for the final was a two-legged tie. (Which was changed in the 2007/08 season. Both AC Milan and Fiorentina will have to wait for at least another year to end their drought.

It has been over a decade since Inter Milan won the Coppa Italia. A 3-0 Milan derby victory has given them the chance to end this drought. Their last win was part of their 2011 treble-winning season.

Unfortunately for Inter Milan, their final lap to the title will be against the title’s most successful side/holders.

After a fortunate 1-0 victory away, Juventus completed the job at home with a 2-0 victory against Fiorentina.

2022 COPPA ITALIA FINAL
Inter Milan and Juventus take a 3-0 aggregate win in the semifinal to set up a Derby Italia final for the 2022 Coppa Italia.

Taca de Portugal {second leg}
Strange things can happen in a cup competition but we doubt the winner of the 2022 Taca de Portugal will be coming from the ‘Mafra vs Tondela’ tie.

Porto used a 3-1 aggregate win against Sporting CP to secure a Taca de Portugal final with Tondela.
Porto and Sporting CP were both chasing their 18th title in the competition’s history. Porto can go on for their 19th title while Tondela will be trying for their first.
