2021 COPA LIBERTADORES – SEMIFINAL (FIRST LEG)

The first leg of the Copa Libertadores semifinals indicates an all-Brazil finale. It’s looking like a “Flamengo vs ________”
Judging by their first leg performances, Flamengo and Atletico Mineiro are favorites to make the final.

PALMEIRAS 0-0 ATLETICO MINEIRO
The game will be settled in the second leg after a goalless draw in the first. Atletico Mineiro did their best to get the win on the road against Palmeiras. Hulk had the best chance of the night but failed to convert a penalty into a goal in the 42nd minute. From the run of play, that goal would have been enough to get Atletico Mineiro the win.
Palmeiras go into the second leg for a victory that will allow them to defend their position as continental champions. They’ve put up better performances than what they showed in the first leg. All to play for in the second leg; with the ‘away goal’ rule in their favor.

FLAMENGO 2-0 BARCELONA SC
Bruno Henrique’s two goals in the first half stood till the final whistle for Flamengo to a 2-0 win to the second leg. It was a deserved (and maybe expected) victory for Flamengo.
