4th Round – FA CUP
Four of the 32 matches had to go into extra time but it was only the “Manchester United vs Middlesbrough needing a penalty kickoff to decide the game.

Middlesbrough knocking out Manchester United at Old Trafford in the first match of the fourth round must have inspired the underdogs.

Chelsea and West Ham narrowly escaped humiliating defeats with both finding a goal in extra time to avoid a penalty shootout.

A West Ham United defeat to Kidderminster Harriers would have been the biggest of the humiliation.

Norwich beating Wolves can be considered an upset.

5th-tier Boreham Wood advanced to the fifth round through a 1-0 win away against 2nd-tier Bournemouth.

Nottingham Forest knocked out the title holders (Leicester City) after knocking out the most successful club (Arsenal) in the third round.

The goals came in the second half for Liverpool to pass through to the next round against Cardiff.
