ENGLISH PREMIER LEAGUE

All of the newly-promoted teams in the English Premier League currently find themselves without a single point in the league standings. Burnley and Luton Town each have a game in hand, while Sheffield United has already played their first two matches.

Sheffield United is scheduled to host the defending champions, Manchester City. Burnley, on the other hand, will strive for their first win of the season at home against Aston Villa. Meanwhile, Luton Town is set to travel to Stamford Bridge to face Chelsea, who are still searching for their first victory after suffering a ‘3-1’ defeat to West Ham United.

A victory against West Ham United in this round would allow Brighton to maintain their position at the top of the English Premier League standings for yet another round.

SPANISH LA LIGA

Barcelona exerted significant effort to secure a victory at home against Cadiz in the previous round. However, they had already relinquished points in an away match during the season’s opening game. Barcelona is now preparing for another away game, this time against Villarreal.

The beginning of the season has proven challenging for Sevilla. They have encountered two losses in the league along with a defeat in the UEFA Super Cup. As a result, securing a win against Girona appears to be a necessity for them.

Stuttgart currently holds the top position in the table by virtue of goal difference. They are scheduled to face RB Leipzig in Leipzig, with RB Leipzig aiming to rectify their start to the season after a ‘3-2’ defeat in Leverkusen.

Both teams scored four goals in their season-opening matches.
Bayern Munich, who started their season with a 4-0 win over Werder Bremen, will be looking to secure another victory against Augsburg, who drew 4-4 with Monchengladbach, to fortify their title defense.

Darmstadt and Heidenheim, the two newly-promoted clubs in the German Bundesliga, will play their first home matches of the season this weekend. Darmstadt will host Union Berlin, while Heidenheim will host Hoffenheim. Both teams lost their opening matches of the season on the road.

Lyon, having suffered defeats in their opening games, find themselves with no points on the board. They will strive to achieve a win against Nice, who are also seeking their first victory of the season.

Paris St. Germain and Lens concluded the previous season in the top two positions of the French Ligue 1 standings. However, after two matches into the current season, neither team has managed to secure a win. Paris St. Germain has collected two points, while Lens has attained a point.

Newly-promoted teams Le Havre and Metz have each earned a point from their first two matches. They will face Rennes and Clermont away from home this weekend, respectively, hoping for a win or at least a point.
