Bochum, Crystal Palace, Holstein Kiel, Ipswich Town, Las Palmas, RKC Waalwijk, Southampton, and Wolverhampton Wanderers were all hoping to end their winless starts to the league season, but only Leicester City succeeded by defeating Bournemouth in the Premier League.

(spanish la liga) :

Espanyol ( 2 ) – ( 1 ) Mallorca
Getafe ( 1 ) – ( 1 ) Osasuna
Las Palmas ( 0 ) – ( 1 ) Celta Vigo
Valladolid ( 1 ) – ( 2 ) Rayo Vallecano
Real Madrid ( 2 ) – ( 0 ) Villarreal

🇪🇸 Espanyol ended a three-game losing streak with a 2-1 win over Mallorca, ending Mallorca’s three-game winning streak.
🇪🇸 Getafe was coming off their first league win of the season, a 2-0 victory against Alaves. However, the best they could manage at home against Osasuna was a 1-1 draw.
🇪🇸 Las Palmas sits at the bottom of the La Liga standings and remains the only team without a league win, a situation that did not change after this weekend. Playing with a numerical disadvantage for over 35 minutes didn’t stop Celta Vigo from leaving with maximum points against Las Palmas. Borja Iglesias’ goal in the 28th minute was enough for Celta Vigo to secure a 1-0 win, even after Ilaix Moriba and Iago Aspas were sent off just minutes apart due to yellow card accumulations. Moriba received his two yellows between the 52nd and 54th minutes, while Aspas picked up his between the 54th and 56th minutes. The result keeps Las Palmas winless in the league.
🇪🇸 Jorge de Frutos scored twice to turn around a losing position, helping Rayo Vallecano secure a 2-1 away win against Valladolid.
🇪🇸 Real Madrid and Villarreal were a point apart in the La Liga standings, and were both looking to keep pace with the league leaders (Barcelona). Federico Valverde’s strike opened the scoring for Real Madrid in the 14th minute, setting them on course for a 2-0 victory over Villarreal. Vinícius Júnior added the second goal in the 73rd minute, assisted by Valverde, sealing the win for Madrid.

Leicester City ( 1 ) – ( 0 ) Bournemouth
Manchester City ( 3 ) – ( 2 ) Fulham
West Ham United ( 4 ) – ( 1 ) Ipswich Town

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Southampton was first to get on the scoresheet after a goalless first half. Cameron Archer gave Southampton the lead in the 55th minute, but it lasted only a few minutes before Kai Havertz equalized for Arsenal in the 58th. Gabriel Martinelli scored the game-winner in the 68th minute, before Bukayo Saka sealed the victory with another goal in the 88th minute, making it 3-1 for Arsenal. Saka assisted both of Arsenal’s goals before scoring his own to confirm the win. The result leaves Southampton winless, while Arsenal remains unbeaten in the league.
🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Brentford claimed the bigger portion of the 8 goals scored in their match against Wolves. The first half ended with Brentford holding a 4-2 lead, and both teams added a goal in the second half, resulting in a 5-3 win for Brentford. Wolves remain without a league win this season.
🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Facundo Buonanotte’s goal in the 16th minute was the only goal of the game, handing Leicester City their first league win of the season through a 1-0 home victory over Bournemouth.
🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 With four points dropped in their last two league games, Manchester City needed to secure maximum points from their fixture with Fulham, as an improbable win for Fulham would have seen them draw level with City in the standings. Fulham got off to a good start when Andreas Pereira gave them the lead in the 26th minute, but Mateo Kovačić equalized for Manchester City in the 32nd minute and then scored again in the 47th minute to put them in the lead. In the end, it was Jeremy Doku’s goal in the 82nd minute that sealed the victory for Manchester City, even as Rodrigo Muniz pulled one back for Fulham in the 88th minute.
🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Both teams found the net in the opening 10 minutes. Michail Antonio gave West Ham United the lead in the first minute, before Liam Delap equalized for Ipswich Town in the 6th minute. Mohamed Kudus scored in the 43rd minute to give West Ham a halftime advantage, and Jarrod Bowen doubled their lead three minutes after the start of the second half. Lucas Paquetá added another in the 69th minute, securing a 4-1 win for West Ham over Ipswich Town. The result leaves Ipswich without a league win this season.
🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Everton followed their first league win of the season with a goalless draw. Anthony Gordon’s missed penalty in the 35th minute cost Newcastle United two points in a 0-0 away draw against Everton.

Werder Bremen ( 0 ) – ( 1 ) Freiburg
St. Pauli ( 0 ) – ( 3 ) Mainz

🇩🇪 Bayer Leverkusen’s title defense season continued at home against bottom-placed Holstein Kiel. The expectation was that Holstein Kiel would remain winless, while Leverkusen would secure a home victory to close in on the top of the Bundesliga standings. But that’s not what we got. Holstein Kiel remains winless but avoided an expected defeat in Leverkusen by coming from two goals down to earn a point against the defending champions. An early two-goal lead didn’t stop Bayer Leverkusen from dropping points at home against Holstein Kiel. It looked like it was going to be a blowout win for Bayer Leverkusen against a Holstein Kiel side that hadn’t won a league game this season when Victor Boniface put Leverkusen in the lead in the 4th minute, and Jonas Hofmann doubled the lead in the 8th.
🇩🇪 Wolfsburg picked up their second league win of the season, beating Bochum 3-1, a result that leaves Bochum without a league win this season.
🇩🇪 Dortmund was beaten in Berlin by Union, with two first-half goals enough for Union Berlin to secure a 2-1 win against Borussia Dortmund.
🇩🇪 Ritsu Doan’s goal in the 75th minute was the only goal of the match, giving Freiburg an away win over Werder Bremen.
🇩🇪 St. Pauli followed their first league win of the season (3-0 away at Freiburg) with a defeat by the same margin at home to Mainz. Jonathan Burkardt scored a goal in each half to help Mainz secure their second league win of the season.

The result marked PSV Eindhoven’s eighth win in their opening eight matches of the Eredivisie season.
🇳🇱 RKC Waalwijk got off to an ideal start with a goal in the second minute, but went down to 10 men in the 26th minute before losing their lead in the 28th minute. Utrecht then scored twice in the opening 10 minutes of the second half, eventually winning 3-2. The result keeps Utrecht’s unbeaten start intact while extending RKC Waalwijk’s 100% losing start to the Eredivisie season.
