Manchester City and Liverpool stayed a point apart.
Newcastle United enters the top half of the table (9th).
Norwich City and Watford are the prime candidates for relegation.

Gabriel Jesus scored two goals in each half to help Manchester City to the three points by thrashing relegation bound Watford 5-1.

A ‘2-0’ Merseyside derby victory kept Liverpool on Manchester City’s tails while leaving Everton in the relegation zone.

 

Arsenal followed up a win against Chelsea with another against a Manchester United team that was also looking for the result to help make amends for their defeat at Liverpool.
{We are counting on Chelsea to not slip up}As things stand, Arsenal gained the advantage in the race for a ‘top four’ finish in the Premier League after opening a 6-point gap on Manchester United through a 3-1 win, while Tottenham dropped points against Brentford.

Tottenham dropped points in consecutive matches.
Brentford was denied a fourth successive victory but stayed unbeaten in their last four matches after a goalless draw with Tottenham.

 

Newcastle United enters the top half of the table (9th).
With four wins on the bounce, it is safe to say that Newcastle has won their battle to avoid relegation. Joelinton’s brace contributed to the 3-0 Newcaster win against bottom tabled Norwich.

 

Luckily for Chelsea (and Jorginho), Christian Pulisic found the net in the 90th minute to secure maximum points against a 10-man West Ham.
West Ham was reduced to 10 men in the 86th minute when Craig Dawson received a red card for a foul on Lukaku that also resulted in a penalty being rewarded to Chelsea. – Jorginho took the penalty and missed.
