DFB POKAL – SEMIFINALS
May 2: Freiburg 1-5 RB Leipzig
May 3: Stuttgart 2-3 Frankfurt
Last year’s DFB-Pokal finalists met in the semifinals, and the defending champions, RB Leipzig, moved on to the final. They took a 4-0 lead over Freiburg in the opening half and finished with a ‘5-1’ win. Freiburg was the only team left in the DFB-Pokal without ever winning the title. RB Leipzig now has a chance to become the first team to defend the title since Bayern Munich did it in 2020.
In the other semifinal match, Frankfurt came from behind to beat Stuttgart ‘3-2’ and secured their place in the DFB-Pokal final.
