Czech Republic    2-2         Croatia

Milan Skoda 76’                  Ivan Perisic 37′

Tomas Necid 90+4              Ivan Rakitic 59′
The Czech Republic as always could trust the same hands of Petr Cech to give them some room for mistakes.

Croatia was denied a second win Group D by a late penalty. It was a comfortable match for Croatia, and they showed their quality from the start of the match.

A 37th-minute goal from Ivan Perisic sent Croatia 1-0 up into the half time.  Ivan Rakitic doubled the lead 14 minutes after the restart in the 59th minute.

Considering how comfortable the  first half was for Croatia, Rakitic’s goal looked to have sealed it for Croatia.

In football, a 2 goal lead is the most dangerous lead.

Milan Skoda pulled one back for the Czech Republic in the 76th minute.

A late penalty was awarded for a handball. Tomas Necid took the spot and made it count. This is a point that would feel like a win to the Czech Republic.

A win would have placed Croatia is a good position before they go into their final group match against the defending champions, Spain.

The Czech Republic will go on to face Turkey.
