A Milan derby defeat and a cup exit for AC Milan.
It was a heated contest. Christian Eriksen took the opportunity from an injury time freekick by converting it to the winning goal for Inter Milan to sink a 10-man AC Milan. Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored the only goal in the first half to hand AC Milan the lead, but failed to stay in the game after accumulating yellow cards for a send off in the 58th minute.

A 10-man Atalanta could have won the match by two goals if Duvan Zapata’s penalty in the 67th-minute hadn’t been saved. After a 2-2 draw in the opening half of the match, a 10-man Atalanta side got the winning goal of the match through Aleksey Muranchuck in the 57th-minute.

Cristiano Ronaldo wasn’t needed for Juventus to secure a place in the semi final of the Coppa Italia with a home win against SPAL.

Spezia halved the lead in the second half but Napoli’s 4 first half goals were enough to send them through to the semis.
