Copa Libertadores: Argentine giants are out. The title is likely to stay in Brazil.

With the Argentine giants (Boca Juniors and River Plate) out, the probability of a Brazilian club winning the Copa Libertadores just grew larger.

River Plate in 2018 and in 2015 was the last time an Argentine club won the title.
Both clubs were tipped to advance into the quarterfinal but suffered a shocking exit at home.

 

5 Brazilian clubs and 3 Argentine clubs made the final 8.

BRAZIL: Athletico Paranaense, Atletico Mineiro, Corinthians, Flamengo, and Palmeiras

An Argentinian club is guaranteed to be in the semifinal (max 2).
Two Brazilian clubs are guaranteed to be in the semifinal (max 3).
