EUROPA LEAGUE ROUND OF 16 (second leg)

RB Leipzig is joined in the quarter-finals by Atalanta, Barcelona, Braga, Frankfurt, Lyon, Rangers, and West Ham.

Leverkusen couldn’t make home advantage count after being on the wrong end of a 3-2 score in Bergamo. Atalanta scored the only goal in the second leg to advance with a 1-0 win on the night.

Rangers did their part at home to take a 3-0 lead in the first leg so a 2-1 defeat in Belgrade didn’t damage their dream.

A goalless draw at the Camp Nou left it all to play for at Nef Stadyumu. Barcelona bounced back from a goal down to knock out Galatasaray.

A 1-1 draw was not enough for Monaco to make up for the 2 goals they needed to advance at home against Braga.

Borja Iglesias scored in the final minute of regulation time to get Real Betis level in the tie and force the game into extra time, just for his side to concede in the final minute of the extra time and go out of the competition.

The ‘1-0’ win in Porto decided the game in Lyon’s favor.

West Ham made home advantage count by taking a 2-0 win to bounce back from a 1-0 defeat in Seville. Andriy Yarmolenko scored the winning goal in the

Bodo/Glimt, Feyenoord, Leicester City, Marseille, PAOK, PSV Eindhoven, Roma, and Slavia Prague are the into the quarterfinals of the Conference League.

AZ Alkmaar 2-2 Bodo/Glimt (agg 3-4) aet.

The goal came in extra time for Bodo/Glimt to get the (minimum) draw they needed to advance against AZ Alkmaar.

Marseille took a 2-1 lead to Switzerland and left there advancing with a win by the same scoreline.

Both teams scored 4 goals in Eindhoven but in Copenhagen, it was just PSV doing the scoring. PSV Eindhoven advanced with a 4-0 win away from home.

The 2-0 lead they took to France allowed Leicester City to advance with a 2-1 defeat in Rennes.

With a Feyenoord a 5-2 lead from the first leg and the backing of home supporters, Feyenoord advanced with a 3-1 win against Partizan Beograd.

PAOK advanced after beating Gent by a goal in both ties.

LASK came into the tie needing three goals to even score. They got the three goals but Slavia Prague was not done scoring.

A narrow escape for Roma after Tammy Abraham’s goal in the first minute of the final added minutes avoided the need for extra time to decide the match.
