Colombia beats the United States again in the Copa America Centenario.

Colombia takes the 3rd place in the Copa America Centenario with just a goal over the host nation, USA.
They met as groupmates in Group A,where Colombia won 2-0. It was the opening game of the tournament, and even though both teams would have loved to have been playing in the closing game of the tournament as well, they couldn’t successfully get that to happen.

Colombia and USA met again for the final time in the competition to decide their finishing position in the tournament. A beautiful attacking play by Colombia, that was inspired by James Rodriguez was finished off by Carlos Bacca to give Colombia the lead in the 31st minute.

United States were able to create several chances to get an equalizer and even a win. It was difficult to tell whether United States were playing better, or Colombia was just not playing in their top gear. A goal from United States could have painted a better picture.

Michael Orozco (USA) and Santiago Arias(COL) were both sent off after the 90th minute of the match. A sent off that had little to no impact on the final result.
