Group A
Guinea and Libya are eliminated have nothing to play for in the remaining matches in the group. Tunisia has their destiny in their hands while DR Congo could use a little help from other results.
Group B
Without a victory against Nigeria, Gambia will need to win by 5+ goals to have a slim chance of clinching a place in the 2018 FIFA World Cup. Zambia would likely be eliminated if they don’t get a victory against Nigeria.
Group C
Ivory Coast is in the driving seat and will eliminate Mali with an away victory. Ivory Coast inability to pick up a victory will allow the chasing pack (Morocco and Gabon) to potentially leap over Ivory Coast with a victory.
Group D
It is an open group. South Africa and Senegal both have a game in hand while Burkina Faso and Cape Verde are tied in points.
Group E
Egypt might be booking their ticket to Russia in this round. Egypt plays their home match against an eliminated Congo. The hope for Egypt and their fans is a draw between Uganda and Ghana, or the very least Ghana beating Uganda.
