Wolfsburg                               1-5             Borussia Dortmund

Daniel Didavi 53’                                    Raphael Guerreiro 4’

                                                                   Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang 16’ 62’

                                                                   Ousmane Dembele 58’

                                                                   Lukasz Piszczek 73’

This marks the third match in a row that Borussia Dortmund has scored five or more against their competition. The first of the three was a 6-0 victory in the UEFA Champions League against Legia Warsaw. They repeated the scoreline when they met Darmstadt in the Bundesliga.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored a brace when Borussia Dortmund thrashed Wolfsburg. This was a Wolfsburg team that hadn’t conceded a goal this season.

With Bayern Munich yet to play their fourth match of the league, this win moves Dortmund up to the top of the table.

Raphael Guerreiro gave the visitors an early lead in the 4th minute. With Dortmund being up 2-0 at the half, there was very little doubt that the team would leave Wolfsburg without the maximum points.

Ingolstadt                       0-2             Eintracht Frankfurt

                                                              David Abraham 45’+2

                                                              Bastian Oczipka 50’

Eintracht Frankfurt might have had to fight to stay in the top flight at the end of last season, but this year is looking like the year they would avoid such battles.

Ingolstadt continues to be winless after four Bundesliga matches. A 2-0 home loss to Eintracht Frankfurt piles more pressure on the team whose only point of the season has come from a struggling Hamburger SV.

Darmstadt                  1-1             Hoffenheim

Denis Oliynyk 90’+2                    Andrej Kramaric 46’

Hoffenheim remains undefeated but winless.

Darmstadt saved themselves with a late goal. The home team was looking at another defeat after the hammering Borussia Dortmund had given them in their previous Bundesliga match.

Denis Oliynyk late goal continued Hoffenheim winless streak.

Freiburg                      1-0      Hamburger SV

Nils Petersen 70’

Newly promoted Freiburg grabbed their second win of the season in their home match against a struggling Hamburger SV.

Nil Petersen’s second-half goal handed Hamburger SV their third consecutive defeat out of four matches.

Bayern Munich                 3-0         Hertha Berlin

Franck Ribery 16’

Thiago Alcantara 68’

Arjen Robben 72’

Bayern Munich continues to make strides to secure the Bundesliga title with another win. Bayern Munich beat Hertha Berlin 3-0 to eliminate them from the list of teams that are undefeated in the Bundesliga. Both teams came into the match with a perfect start to their season after three matches.

With Bayern Munich playing in front of their home crowd and being Bayern, they were the favorites to win.

Hertha Berlin can take comfort in the fact that their only loss in the season came from the title favorite.

Bayer Leverkusen 0-0 Augsburg

Augsburg went away to Leverkusen and held them to a goalless draw. The draw marked the third winless match for Bayer Leverkusen.

Schalke 04                              1-3        FC Koln

Klaas Jan Huntelaar 36’                      Yuya Osako 38’

                                                                Anthony Modeste 77’

                                                                 Simon Zoller 84’

Striking first at home did not stop Schalke 04 from suffering another defeat. FC Koln came from a goal down to win 3-1 in their away match to Schalke. It is now four out of four losses for Schalke 04, the only team with a worse record is Werder Bremen.

Werder Bremen                    1-2                Mainz 05

Izet Hajrovic 12’                                          Yunus Malli 87’

                                                                        Pablo De Blasis 90’+2

Mainz 05 scored two late goals to come from behind and deny Werder Bremen their first victory of the season. It was the second win of the season for Mainz 05.

Izet Hajrovic had given the home side the lead in the 12th minute. It was a lead that was looking to give Werder Bremen maximum points, or at least their first point of the season.

It is now a race between Schalke 04 and Werder Bremen to see who would be first to get a point in the 2016/17 Bundesliga season.

RB Leipzig                   1-1                 Borussia Mönchengladbach

Timo Werner 6                                Fabian Johnson 84’

Fabian Johnson scored for Borussia Monchengladbach to cancel out Timo Werner’s early goal for RB Leipzig.
RB Leipzig remains undefeated after four matches.
