Brazil and CONMEBOL World Cup qualifiers.

Posted on

Six Rounds in and Brazil finds themselves below the halfway mark of the CONMEBOL FIFA World Cup qualifiers. Brazil hasn’t missed out on any of the previous World Cup, and it would be a new low for the nation to miss out on the 2018 FIFA World Cup after playing host in the most recent edition of the competition in 2014.

A lot of fans would agree that Brazil might have lost their winning touch to international football. Their history in football has made their recent failures of winning international football competitions a topic of discussion when it comes to Brazilian football, and the strength of South American football.

Brazil NT ready to take on a QC qualifiers task.

The World Cup trophy has always ended up in two continents, Europe or South America.Because experience matters in international football competitions, a weak Brazilian side lessens the odds of the trophy getting to the CONMEBOL.

Winning a 25% of the qualifiers, while tieing 50% is not too terrible when we consider that only a quarter of the qualifiers has been played. But losing and winning in football is habitual. Winning a quarter of their matches played is not the habit Brazil is known for and not the habit that will keep their 100% record of successfully representing their nation at the FIFA World Cups.

Is is too early to call doom?

The talent to turn things around is in their possession. This is a nation that has been blessed with players with technical abilities that can hardly be taught. This is the nation that brought about the beautiful gameplay of football. It would be a shame to have a World Cup that didn’t have Brazil in it. The world hasn’t experienced a World Cup without Brazil. And for the sake of beautiful football, may we not see the end of Brazil’s greatness.

Brazil NT will find fans anywhere football is played.
