His time with the FC Barcelona can be considered as one of the most fruitful part of the club history in international competitions. Xavi has been an intergral part of the tiki-taka style of play that made FC Barcelona and the Spanish national team seem untouchable to most oppositions. Both the club and national side depended on his vision, composure and passing accuracy to give his side control of the match tempo.
The fluidity in partnership with Andres Iniesta and Lionel Messi was Barcelona’s offensive muscle, and a crowd pleaser.
All in all, he has been a good representation of where he came from.
