Barcelona and Real Madrid remain tied on points after 20 matches played – 2019/20 Spanish La Liga

After the opening 20 matches of the La Liga season, it’s remains a tight race at the top of the standings.
It is neck-and-neck at the top of the standings between Barcelona and Real Madrid but both clubs picked up a win over the round to widen the gap between themselves and the chasing pack.

Barcelona and Real Madrid were the only winning side in the top 6 that kicked off the round. (Atletico Madrid, Sevilla, Real Sociedad, and Valencia were on the losing end of the final score.

A ‘2-1’ defeat at home to Espanyol returned Villarreal to a defeat in the league after a 4-match streak of picking up points.

Lionel Messi scored the first (and only goal) under Quique Setien’s managerial era. Barcelona goes on to beat A Granada side that had troubled them in the first-half of the season.
