Bayern Munich 1-1 FC Koln
Hertha Berlin 0-5 Wolfsburg
Hoffenheim 2-2 Stuttgart
Mainz 1-2 Dortmund
Leverkusen 2-0 Bochum

Bayern Munich’s lead in the Bundesliga took a 2-point hit after narrowly escaping a home defeat against FC Koln.
Union Berlin is three points from the top of the league after beating Werder Bremen.
Dortmund moved up a position to 5th after a late goal handed them a win at Mainz.
A big win (6-1) against bottom-tabled Schalke moved RB Leipzig two positions up to third place.
Frankfurt fell two positions down to 4th place after a draw at Freiburg.

A point from Hoffenheim was enough to move Stuttgart out of the relegation zone.
Hertha Berlin and Schalke are stuck as the bottom two teams after both were at the wrong end of the score in their respective matches.

We are at the midpoint of the season and there are at least seven clubs in the league that can have the ambition of qualifying for Champions League football in the coming season.
Bayern Munich has little room for error but they are in control of their destiny.
Union Berlin is overachieving.
Schalke is still disappointing.

Christopher Nkunku (RB Leipzig) is the league’s top scorer with 12 goals.
Jamal Musiala is Bayern Munich’s top scorer with 9 goals.

A ‘6-1’ away win allowed RB Leipzig to use bottom-tabled Schalke to make up for the points they dropped in the previous round against Bayern Munich.

FC Koln was just minutes away from adding a win against Bayern Munich to their 7-1 win against Werder Bremen in the last round. It ended as a 1-1 draw when Joshua Kimmich’s wonder strike saved Bayern Munich from a home defeat at home. It back-to-back ‘1-1’ draw in the league for Bayern Munich.

Back-to-back big wins for Wolfsburg as they followed a 6-0 win against Freiburg with a 5-0 away win against Hertha Berlin.

Andrey Kramaric’s goals got Hoffenheim a point in a 2-2 draw at home against Stuttgart.
Kramaric’s first goal in the match gave Hoffenheim an early lead
in the 11th minute. His second goal (in the 4th minute of the final added time) saved Hoffenheim from a consecutive league defeat.
The result ended 4 straight league defeats for Hoffenheim in seven league matches without a win.

Just like in their win against Augsburg in the previous round, Gio Rayna came off the bench to score the game-winning goal for Dortmund to pick up three points at Mainz.

The best Freiburg could do after a ‘6-0’ defeat against Wolfsburg in the previous round was to come from a goal down to get a point against Frankfurt.

Monchengladbach restarts their season with two defeats in a row after losing 1-0 at Augsburg.

Being first to get on the scoreboard didn’t prevent Werder Bremen from following their 7-1 defeat in Cologne with a home defeat to Union Berlin.
