Argentina 3-0 Bolivia

It was Bolivia’s last attempt to get a win in the Copa America Centenario, while Argentina was playing to complete their scheduled matches for the competition.

Argentina had already qualified, so the results of this match were just for the record books. Losing can become a habit, and this wasn’t the time to pick up a bad habit.

Argentina won the match 3-0 and did all the scoring in the first half without Lionel Messi.

Erik Lamela’s deflected free kick opened the scoring in the 13th minute. Minutes later, Gonzalo Higuain’s header was parried away by Carlos Lampe, Lavezzi was there to double the score for the Argentines in the 15th minute.

Cuesta finished off a low whipped cross from Lavezzi to get Argentina 3 goals up.  Just like Chile, Lionel Messi wasn’t a requirement for this win.

Messi was substituted into the match in the second half. There wasn’t much work for him to do, but he managed to show moments of brilliance on the ball.

Bolivia leaves winless. Argentina has won it all so far.

As it stands….
