And the ‘Star of the Weekend” will be going to …
Picking the outright brightest star is never easy, and sometimes blinding.
It was an action packed weekend that saw domestic Cups won, legends leave football clubs, and a team secure safety at the expense of another in the Italian Serie A.
The final shortlist for #SOTW included…
Aaron Ramsey (Arsenal** – Chelsea) (FA Cup final) – for scoring the winning goal for Arsenal to win the FA Cup final against a Chelsea side that was considered pre-match favorite by many observers.
Moise Kean (Bologna – Juventus**) {Italian Serie A} – Juventus would have ended their season without a victory had it not been for Kean’s late strike. A victory is important for a Juventus side that has a very important UEFA Champions League final coming their way.
Diego Falcinelli (Crotone** – Lazio) {Italian Serie A} – for scoring the winning goal for Crotone to pick up all three points in their final match against Lazio. Those points saved Crotone from being relegated.
But the SOTW will have to go to

(Roma** – Genoa) {Italian Serie A}
For scoring a late winning goal for Roma to finish the season as the second best team in the Italian Serie A. It was also the goal that sees that Roma goes directly to the 2017/18 UEFA Champions League.
