In a weekend that brought us a lot of traditional mouth-watering fixtures, we knew that the picking of the #SOTW was going to be a difficult one.
Picking the outright brightest star is never easy, and sometimes blinding. There were many bright spots over the weekend, but these are the men that were able to make our list.
The final shortlist for #SOTW included…
Nabil Fekir (Lyon vs Monaco) – French Ligue 1
Wilfried Zaha (Crystal Palace vs Chelsea) – English Premier League
Ciro Immobile (Juventus vs Lazio) – Italian Serie A
Thomas Meunier (Dijon vs Paris Saint-Germain) – French Ligue 1
Lorenzo Insigne (AS Roma vs Napoli) – Italian Serie A
But the SOTW will have to go to
Mauro Icardi
(Inter Milan vs AC Milan) – Italian Serie A
For scoring all of Inter Milan’s goals ( a hattrick) in their derby victory over AC Milan.
