Janine Beck ie scored two goals to lead Canada to a win against Chile. It was the result Canada needed to bounce from the points dropped in their opening match with Japan.
Great Britain advanced to the next round after picking up their second win through a narrow victory over Japan.
Sweden moved from a win over the United States with another over Australia.
This time around, Sweden had to come from a goal down after losing a lead. Samantha Kerr scored two to bring Australia from a losing position to a winning one at the start of the second half. It didn’t take Sweden long to get even. Lina Hurtig got the equalizing goal for Sweden four minutes later before Fridolin a Rolfe scored the winning goal for Sweden in the 63rd minute.
An ambitious USA team took their fans 1- ration on New Zealand.
USA’s first win of the tournament is 6- I win to follow up their 3- 0 defeat to Sweden.
TWO GAMES, TWO HAT-TRICKS FOR BANDA. ZAMBIA IS STILL NOT SAFE.
Barbra Banda scored another hat trick for Zambia in a game that didn’t lead to a win for her team.
Zambia shared the points with China after a 4- 4 draw. All four of China’s goals were scored by Shuang Wang.
Netherlands and Brazil showed in the opening round that they had the attacking threat to score goals. They proved this to each other by sharing the points in a 3-3 draw.

A third-place finish will be the best possible finish for New Zealand and Chile

Chile: must eliminate the host nation in order to continue
Chile will need a win against Japan to continue the tournament.
NETHERLANDS VS CHINA
BRAZIL VS ZAMBIA
One thing about Group F is that it produces a goal-fest. Netherlands and Brazil will be fine with a draw in their respective matches. Zambia will need to make up for the goal difference, or get some help from the Netherlands in making up the difference.
NEW ZEALAND VS SWEDEN
USA VS AUSTRALIA
It’s difficult to see how New Zealand can escape the group stage. Their defeat against USA left them with a goal deficit that places them out of range against a side like Sweden.
