Kylian Mbappe scored a brace (opening and the closing goal of the game) in Paris St. Germain’s 4-0 win against a 10-man Montpellier. Three goals in three second half minutes from three attacking players killed off the match; Neymar in the 60th-minute, Mauro Icardi in the 61st, and Mbappe in the 63rd.

Nice won their first in 6 games after a 1-0 victory at Lens.

Marseille are now without a win in their last 5 games; this includes three successive defeats in the league; four successive defeats if the Super Cup final is included. Monaco found three goals in the second half to come from a goal down to beat Marseille. The result marked 4 straight wins for Monaco.

Bordeaux leaped above Angers in the league standings. Ui-Jo Hwang scored two in the early parts of the match to guide Bordeaux to a 2-1 home win against Angers.

Strasbourg had to settle for a point at Dijon after a 1-1 draw in the second half.

Metz moved on from a win against Lyon with another at home against Nantes. The 2-0 defeat was the 12th straight game without a win for Nantes. (5L 7D)

Nimes vs Lorient was postponed by COVID.

Reims bounced back from defeat at Lille with a narrow win at home against Brest. The 1-0 result allowed Reims to move 2 points from Brest in the league.

Lille won their third game in a row; and a third game in a row won by a goal margin. Jonathan David’s goal in the 16th-minute was all that Lille needed to pick up three points from Rennes.

A brace from Tino Kadewere and Marcelo lead Lyon to a big derby win at Saint-Etienne. It finished 5-0 win for Lyon to make up for the points dropped in their previous two matches.
