Two players making their El Clasico debut scored the goals: Ilkay Gundogan and Jude Bellingham. Barcelona, despite leading for most of the game, lost 2-1 to Real Madrid, with Bellingham scoring both goals. It was Bellingham’s first El Clasico, and he made an immediate impact by scoring a long-range goal in the 68th minute to cancel out Ilkay Gundogan’s early opener. He then scored the winner in the 90+2nd minute to give Real Madrid a four-point lead over Barcelona in the standings, and also handing Barcelona their first league defeat of the season. The last time Barcelona and Real Madrid met in the league, Barcelona came back from a goal down to win 2-1, with Frank Kessie scoring the winning goal in injury time. This time around, Real Madrid came from a goal down to win 2-1, with Jude Bellingham scoring the winning goal.

Getafe has now drawn five games in a row after picking up another point in a goalless draw away against Mallorca. Both clubs are now without a win in their last six games.

Sevilla recovered from a two-goal deficit in the opening half to secure a point from a 2-2 draw at Cadiz. This leaves both teams with two wins, with Sevilla having a game in hand.
Real Betis scored a goal in the added time of both halves to secure a ‘2-1’ home victory over Osasuna. Willian Jose found the net in the added time of the first half, giving Real Betis the lead, while Isco scored in the 4th minute of added time in the second half to regain the lead after Ruben Garcia had equalized for Osasuna in the 84th minute.

Rayo Vallecano and Athletic Club needed late goals in the final added minutes to avoid home defeats against Real Sociedad and Valencia, respectively.

Alvaro Morata’s goal at the end of the first half proved to be the winning goal for them against Alaves.

Gerard Moreno’s two goals for Villarreal were nullified by the 34th minute. Fortunately, Alexander Sorloth had scored a goal in the 28th minute. Sorloth’s goal secured a victory for Villarreal against Granada, with a total of 5 goals scored in the first 34 minutes of the match. Villarreal emerged as the 3-2 winners.
