About a quarter (1/4) into 2015 Bundesliga Season

After 12 rounds, Bundesliga is still under the control of Bayern Munich. The defending champions are continuing their dominance with a fly start. They are so far the only undefeated team in the league.

The only defeat suffered in a competitive match so far was at the Emirates Stadium to Arsenal in the ‘Group F’ match of the 2015/16 UEFA champions league. Despite their dominance, Arsenal managed to beat them 2-0. But just like their last season champions league match against Porto, they came back in the home game and settle the score by the end of the first half. The match ended 5-1 to the German side.

Borussia Dortmund returns to be Bayern’s competition, after a questionable last season.  Even as their closest competition, Dortmund  lost woefully to Bayern in a (5-1) thrashing at the Allianz Arena.

Bayern and Borussia Dortmund are 8 points away from the pack. It is a tight race between the rest of the pack. Five points separate Bayern from Dortmund. Five points are the same amount of points that is separating the rest of the top 10 teams.

Both newly promoted sides, FC Ingolstadt and Darmstadt 98 are not in the relegation zone. Ingolstadt actually concludes the top 10 teams on the table. Ingolstadt and Bayern are the only teams to concede less than 10 goals.

In the relegation zone are 1899 Hoffenheim and FC Augsburg.  VfB Stuttgart is in the relegation play-off zone. Hoffenheim and Augsburg are the only two team with single digit points so far on the table. Augsburg sits at the bottom of the table, so it’s by no surprise that they have the most defeats in the league. Augsburg and Stuttgart have the most defeats so far. Stuttgart has conceded the most goals, and Hannover 96 alongside Stuttgart and bottom table Augsburg are the three teams to have a negative goals difference in the double digits. Schalke 04 have balanced their goals difference to a zero. They are the only team in a top 6 teams not to have a positive goals difference.  Outside the top 6 teams on the table, the rest of the table completed twelve rounds of Bundesliga with a negative goal difference.
