Winning just one league title with Real Madrid was not part of the plan when Ronaldo was being welcomed to Spain. The idea was to stop Messi and FC Barcelona from ruling football in Spain.

After all the talent signed to the team since the arrival of Ronaldo and Kaka, Real Madrid’s domestic record does not reflect the expenses made by the team.

Ronaldo can’t win just one league title and on Copa del Rey with Real Madrid. That won’t be a successful run. Champions League success might compensate, but their arch-rival, Barcelona is winning a few of those in recent seasons. And with the constant Messi and Ronaldo comparisons, winning domestic titles is something on the mind of Ronaldo and co.
The wait can’t be any longer. Right?.

Zinedine Zidane is on top of Europe with Real Madrid once again.

He has won the UEFA Champions League with Real Madrid in three occasions. Each occasion, he was in a different part of the operational structure of the club. In 2002 he won the competition as player. He won it as an assistant manager to Carlo Ancelotti in 2014 and then in 2016 won it for the third time as manager.

At this rate he will be winning the competition when he decides to go on as Director of the club. His season as manager was without any signings. He used what he had, and made magic out of it. The coming season will show what kind of talent Zidane will sign to his team. How is constructed team will do on their quest for another champions league title and other domestic titles that have slipped out of their hands in recent seasons.

He won the league title with Real Madrid as a player, will he be able to do this as manager? The need for a league title is growing for Real Madrid. It is kind of clear that their UCL objectives have been accomplished and it’s time to focus in on  some domestic titles.

Both of their rivals Atletico Madrid and Barcelona have been crowned league champions more recent than they have been. We know Real Madrid will do all changes to avoid the looking like anything other than a champion.
