Mallorca and Athletic Club played out a goalless draw despite both teams getting awarded a late second-half penalty. It was an evenly contested match, so the results seemed fair.

Real Madrid scraped a ‘3-2’ win at home despite finishing the first half of the match with a 3-0 lead at home over Levante. It was a nervy ending for the home fans when Gonzalo Melero scored Levante’s second goal of the match.

Gerard Moreno scored a brace as Villarreal takes the win at Leganes. Moreno’s goals makes him the league’s top scorer with 5 goals.

Atletico Madrid suffered their first defeat of the season when Real Sociedad got two second-half goals to get a home win.

It is back-to-back ‘5-2’ home victory for Barcelona. Luis Suarez returns from injury and scored two goals to get Barcelona to a 5-2 win over Valencia after Ansu Fati kicked off the scoring for the home side. Frenkie de Jong also got on the score sheet to get his first goal for Barcelona.

Espanyol got the best of the three second-half goals to win away against Eibar.

Joan Jordan’s 37th-minute goal gave Sevilla the needed result to take advantage of Atletico Madrid’s defeat by replacing them in the pole position. A win away at Alaves gave Sevilla a point lead at the top of the standings.

Newly-promoted Granada got a win on the road against a 9-man Celta Vigo side.

Osasuna kept a point lead over Real Valladolid in the league standings when Robert Ibanez scored an equalizing goal in the 81st-minute to see Osuasuna get a point on the road.

Real Betis finished the game against Getafe with 9-men after having a player sent-off on a red card in each half. Both teams got their goal through a penalty with Real Betis having to come from behind with fewer men.
