Borussia Dortmund bounced back from their shock defeat to Union Berlin with a 4-0 home victory over a Bayer Leverkusen side that was unbeaten in the league. A harsh scoreline for Leverkusen.

Hertha Berlin thought they’d gotten themselves a point with Marko Grujic’s 88th-minute equalizing goal but Mainz was back in front with the winning goal when Jerry St. Just scored in the 88th-minute to give his side their first victory of the season. Hertha Bering remains winless.

It was against the run of play but Augsburg wins their first league match of the season through a ‘2-1’ home victory against Eintracht Frankfurt.

Alassane Plea’s goal was the difference-maker. Borussia Monchengladbach picked up their second three points of the season in Cologne.

An inspired Union Berlin side fell at home to Werder Bremen.

RB Leipzig holds on to top spot after fighting off Bayern Munich. Robert Lewandowski scored his 7th goal of the season after just 3 minutes to give Bayern Munich a lead that was looking to send them to the top of the table until Emil Forsberg converted a penalty into a goal at the end of the first half. The second-half had lots of action but failed to produce a deciding goal.

Freiburg wins ‘3-0’ at Hoffenheim to sit a point away from the top spot.

Despite being first to register a goal in the match, newly-promoted Paderborn was hammered ‘5-1’ in front of home supporters by Schalke. Paderborn and Hertha Berlin are the two teams left without a 2019/20 Bundesliga win.
