Inter Milan defeats Lazio is the final match of the round to climb up to second place in the league standings, but the real winner from the top of the table clashes was Juventus; who came from a goal down to do the expected and get the full 3 points against relegation-zoned Empoli.

Cristiano Ronaldo scored a brace to see Juventus come from a goal down to a victory at home against relegation-zoned Empoli.

Atalanta pulled a point closet to recently-promoted Parma after three goals in the second half gave them a deserved home victory against Parma. Torino and Fiorentina share the points after both teams get a goal in the first quarter of the hour. Kevin-Prince Boateng rescued a point at home for Sassuolo in a ‘2-2’ draw with Bologna, while bottom-table Chievo Verona remained winless after a ‘2-1’ away defeat to Cagliari.

After being the first team to take points from Juventus, a 10-man Genoa side held on for 25 minutes to secure a point at home against Udinese.

Newly-promoted Frosinone got their first win of the season after managing a ‘3-0’ away victory against a SPAL side that was coming from a shocking away victory against Roma.
AC Milan bounced back from defeat in the ‘Milan Derby’ with a hard-fought win against Sampdoria while city rival Inter Milan took advantage of the points dropped by Napoli by getting a win in Rome. Mauro Icardi scored a brace to help Inter Milan leap to second in the standings. The defeat leaves Lazio vulnerable to being kicked out of the ‘top four’ should AC Milan beat Genoa on Wednesday.
